About Colin

Colin attended both Catena Elementary School and Eisenhower Middle School in Freehold Township, NJ. The latter is where his love for wrestling began when he started wrestling in 6th grade. He was a four-year varsity wrestler at Freehold High School in Freehold, NJ, and was recruited by many colleges and universities to wrestle for them. Ultimately, he chose Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.

In 2016, before beginning his Sophomore year at UC, Colin was diagnosed with Melanoma inside his salivary gland. He battled through surgeries and treatments, but did not let this stop him from setting goals and doing everything he could to achieve them.

After graduation, Colin continued his passion for wrestling as an assistant wrestling coach at his alma mater, Freehold High School, and then at Red Bank Catholic High School in Red Bank, NJ.

Colin was a teacher assistant at Barkalow Middle School in Freehold Township, NJ, and, with great enthusiasm, took on the role of assistant coach for both track and field and cross country. Colin loved coaching and worked hard to motivate his student-athletes. He watched closely to see what his athletes needed and was there to provide them with individualized support.

Colin didn’t let cancer dictate who he was and left a defining mark on all who knew him.
